Yard Makeover

A yard makeover is for the homeowner who looks outside and sees a space that no longer works—patchy grass, overgrown beds, eroded soil, or areas where water stands after every rain. You might be tired of fighting weeds or tripping over exposed roots. You want a yard that looks intentional, not neglected. This is the call you make when mowing alone won't fix it.

We start by clearing the entire area: hauling out brush, dead plants, and debris. Then we till compacted soil, add topsoil or compost to improve drainage and fertility. For turf, we lay sod on prepared ground or seed bare patches with a matching blend. Shrubs and mulch beds go in after grading is finished. We edge all borders, trim trees, and install new planting as needed.

Every yard is different. The size of the lot, the amount of overgrowth, and the condition of the existing soil all affect how long the work takes. Steep slopes require extra grading and erosion control. Poor drainage might need regrading or additional soil. Access for our truck and trailer matters too—narrow gates or long carries add time. Weather can delay soil prep or sod installation.

On the day of work, we protect driveways, walkways, and any structures near the area with plywood or tarps. We haul away all debris, sweep hard surfaces, and leave the site clean. Before we arrive, please mark any underground sprinkler heads or utility lines. After the work, water new sod or seed daily for the first two weeks, and keep foot traffic off fresh beds until the soil settles.
